Living Foundation Art Print

A printed version of the Intaglio piece, Living Foundation.

• An archival quality Giselle print made from dye-based inks and 60Ib fine art canvas paper.

• All inks and paper are archival and carefully wrapped and enforced to be protected during shipping.

• All prints have a border around them for framing: print size includes the border. 

• For a limited time, 11x14 prints will be offered in smooth polar matte paper and the usual paper canvas.

Intaglio is a process where you carve or etch a metal plate, rub the ink into the carving, wipe the excess off, and then print using a printing press. The paper must have a high rag content because you soak it in water prior to printing. Once the print comes out you must flatten it for a minimum of 24 hours. Each piece is considered an original because of this process. Prints are made in an edition and then often the plate is canceled or destroyed. This adds value to the print because it means that no more will be made.
